Framing Needle Art
Framing of needlework or “needleart” is
a large part of our business and a part that we particularly enjoy.
We
encourage customers not to put glass in front of their needleart. If glass
is absolutely necessary, then a double mat is a must to keep the fabric
from coming in contact with the glass. Fabric that is placed
up against
the glass tends to rot much faster because of the moisture that collects
behind glass. Beautiful handwork shows up better without glass, and dust
really doesn’t collect that much on framed pieces that are hanging.
Vacuuming through a piece of hosiery will take up any dust that does collect.
If it should happen to get dirty accidentally, it can be taken apart and
washed since everything we do is reversible.
